Your 24-Hour Nurse Helpline
provides the health care information you
need, when you need it. The Nurse Helpline
puts you and your immediate family in touch
with an experienced registered nurse, via a
toll-free number, 24 hours a day, 365 days a
year. These nurses are specially trained to
offer prompt, confidential medical
counseling to help members make informed
decisions about their health and the medical
care they receive. Learn about chronic
health conditions, discuss treatment options
for a diagnosed illness, discuss questions
to ask your doctor, and better understand
prescriptions and over-the-counter
medication. Members also have access to a
library of audiotapes on over 700 health
topics!
Note: The
24-Hour Nurse Helpline is not a substitute
for your doctor's care. Nurses
cannot diagnose problems or
recommend/provide treatment.

The plan provides discounts at certain
health care providers of medical services.
The plan does not make payments directly
to the providers of medical services. The
plan member is obligated to pay for all
health care services but will receive a
discount from those health care providers
who have contracted with the discount plan
organization. The range of discounts for
services offered will vary depending on
the type of provider and service.
Discounts on hospital services are not
available in Maryland. This is not a
Medicare prescription drug plan. This plan
